Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day


Program Description

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED), hosted by OSU's WiE Program and sponsored by John Deere & Company and John Deere Foundation is a day for girls interested in engineering and currently in grades 3-6. The program includes a series of hands-on engineering-related activities to explore career options. IGED is run annually with the help of WiE college students from OSU, faculty, community partners and industry professionals.


Please email us at to be added to the interest list so you can be notified when registration for IGED 2016 is open. An optional parent session may also be offered in conjunction with IGED.


IGED cost $50 per participant. This registration fee covers the cost of activities, a t-shirt, and lunch.

Please note: Scholarships are available for individuals requesting financial assistance!


Registration is REQUIRED to participate in this event and registration must be completed by the female student and her parent/guardian(s).  A $50 participation fee at the time of registration to secure a spot. Space is limited and registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
