September 24th: Fall 2016 Women in Engineering Graduate Student Retreat
The Women in Engineering Graduate Council will host its first retreat geared towards graduate women in the College of Engineering entering their first or second year. The retreat will include sessions on Imposter Syndrome, holistic wellness, career planning and how each of these topics can influence a successful graduate school experience. Join Council members at the end of the retreat in a yoga session hosted in the RPAC! With women making up roughly 25% of the CoE graduate school, this is a great way to meet women, refresh for the new year and get free breakfast and lunch! We hope you’ll join us!

The Women in Engineering Graduate Council is sponsoring a Book Discussion Group and you are invited to join! The discussion will be on Thursday at 7pm on the RPAC amphitheater stairs. Below is the list of what we will read, watch and discuss:

November 18th: WEGC Cupcakes & Canvases
Come relax and unwind while painting and eating cupcakes with WEGC! In striving to provide opportunities that development a sense of community among graduate women in engineering, WEGC has scheduled this social event for a way to interact with peers and relieve stress.

WEGC Industry Connect Events
Calling all CoE graduate students! Join WEGC in two meet and greet events targeted specifically to graduate engineering students.
Prepare for the SWE Career Fair by attending WEGC's Networking Night. Socialize with company representatives over heavy hors d'oeuvres and learn more about companies of interest at their information booths. Attire is business casual.
Date: January 31, 2017 Time: 6:00 -8:00 PM Location: Chemical and Biological Engineering and Chemistry Building (CBEC, New Koffolt Lab)
Join company representatives for brunch. Discuss how you can leverage both strengths and weaknesses to navigate career advancement. Space is limited! Attire is business casual.
